Friday Night Life
This prevention program targets high school students who are at risk of taking drugs and alcohol.
It is an 8 week program that helps youth develop a stronger self-concept, resist peer pressure, make better decisions and learn where to go for help. In addition, as they develop new skills they also learn about how to develop a prevention message on the radio.
They work together to design a radio spot, the content and how it should be played on the air. The final product is then aired live through GNX 88.3FM. This group is offered 5 times a year.
